LMT Defense needs your help as we continue to grow into the future. We are looking to fill a 1st shift position in our Inventory Department. Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as our Inventory Control Lead.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Must be able to work 1st shift hours (7am-3:15pm) with overtime as production needs.Capable of operating a forklift and other necessary equipment for safe material movement and transit.Achieve and sustain FIFO with inventory management by training and coordination with the team while ensuring digital and physical transactions match. Train and perform all core departmental job functions with zero transaction errors. Track all departmental KPI's and record on Daily Management Board. Identify action items for missed KPIs and work with team to implement. Adherence to all ATF and LMT requirements and processes for inventory control, lot-out, and shipping/receiving processes.Strong ERP system knowledge to accurately and appropriately complete transactions.Troubleshoot and act when necessary to address quality issues or inventory challenges.Utilize available resources to achieve minimal production down time and maximize production throughput. Effectively train, monitor, and delegate tasks.Representation of the company with external contacts including customer relations and vendor relations.Adequate control, protection, and use of assets of the company.Follow and maintain company policies and procedures to include training on emergency services and ability to coordinate with the teams effectively. Perform in-process inspections to verify departmental performance to include cycle counts and physical inventory verification.On-going communication with the Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineer to ensure common understanding of departmental issues affecting quality, throughput, and the delivery schedule.Daily review of all schedule needs, departmental goals, timesheets, and 5S Checklists.Foster a team environment by working collaboratively with all team members.Any other duties requested by the SupervisorEducation & Experience:High school diploma, high school equivalency degree (HSED), or general education degree (GED) is required.Preferred: AA/BA in BusinessRequired 3+ years of experience and knowledge of Inventory Control in a manufacturing environment.Required knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office and ERP system.Preferred prior leadership experience.Must be able to sign and abide by Company's employee manual and confidentiality agreement.Required to successfully complete a background check, job physical and drug screening.Must be able to work well with others that they may be helping and effectively delegate tasks to members of the inventory team.Must be able to work both independently and as a team to meet deadlines and reach goals. *LMT Defense is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.LMT Defense is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
