UNDERSTANDING
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire inventory process within Albanese Confectionery, ensuring accurate tracking of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies, optimizing stock levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste, and collaborating with production teams to maintain smooth operations and timely deliveries by closely monitoring inventory levels to maintain quality standards and cost efficiency. Support all dimensions of Customer Fulfillment with a strong emphasis on implementing and executing “Best in Class” Management Process Standards as indicated in the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Process Standards focused on Customer Fulfillment: Inventory Management; Establish new inventory requirements; communicating customer, supplier inventory requirements; End-to-end process, execution and accountability.
Mentor and inspire to improve process flows for delivering expected and exceeding customer expectations. Driving the focus on customer facing “World's Best” organization. Work across an integrated fulfillment process, (customer service, warehousing, transportation, inventory) to translate strategies into a roadmap of specific, integrated initiatives across the supply chain. This includes being a collaborative partner for Perfect Order metrics; as defined in the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model, a perfect order is when a product is delivered to a customer in the right quantity, condition, and time, with the correct documentation, and at the right cost.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP
- Reports to the Director of Logistics, Carrier Management, Customer Service and Warehousing.
- Communicate regularly and have a strong relationship with team members in multiple departments.
- Communicates and meets periodically with other departmental leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborating with procurement, and Maintenance, Repair and Operations, (MRO), monitor real-time inventory levels of raw materials (sugar, cocoa, flavorings, etc.), packaging components, and finished confectionery products using inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory data and address discrepancies.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the inventory control team members.
- Collaborate with Production departments to ensure work orders are closed in a timely manner, review job postings with large quantity and dollar variances
- Oversee daily inventory cycle count process, including monthly reporting.
- Ensure high volume raw materials are counted and reconciled accurately on a frequent basis.
- Lead training in inventory control functionality within ITorizons to NetSuite.
- Ongoing review and revision of inventory control procedures, including preparation of updated SOPs and work instructions related to future ERP implementation.
- Collaboration with Accounting on physical inventory process.
- Oversee the disposition process ensuring appropriate workflow and disposal of product are completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Purchasing on monitoring of expiration dates on all inventory items.
- Work with outside warehousing vendors to secure accurate reporting of all Albanese Confectionery Group (ACG) inventory, including reconciliation of variances.
- Analyze data to identify potential cost-saving opportunities related to inventory management.
- Create and maintain inventory metrics and execute cost analysis to inform, recommend decision-making.
- Identify areas for improvement in inventory management and implement strategies to optimize efficiency.
- Root cause analysis for inventory adjustments (IA's), recommend process improvements.

REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in inventory management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with production teams, suppliers, internal customers.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Understanding food safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel & Power Point.
- Previous experience managing a team of employees and working in inventory management role.
- Well versed in ERP and warehouse management system (WMS).
- (5) five-years business, supply chain, inventory management experience preferred.
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain preferred.
