The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and inventory control experience. The primary role will require daily diligence with cycle counting, cycle count reconciliation, and conducting inventory transactions. The person who fills this role will also be responsible for providing operational supervision as needed, where safety is first, for a high volume, multi-shift warehouse, packing line and shipping/receiving dock operation.Duties/Responsibilities:Inventory Control Specialist (Primary Role)Investigate and correct cycle count lossesInvestigate and locate misplaced inventoryProcess transactions for product returned by customersReview transactions for product moving through rework processesReview pallets staged in the Problem Pallet Area for resolutionConduct extra cycle countsAssist with pulling samples for customers to facilitate sales growthCollect samples for Quality dispositionAssistant Shift Lead (Secondary Role -- will be performed when Supervisor is off)Lead the Warehouse 2nd Shift Team with a servant leadership style.Lead with and embody the Furmano Food corporate values: Thankfulness, Honesty, Kindness, Diligence, and Unity.Responsible for leading, supervising, counseling, motivating, evaluating, providing training, and ensuring safety requirements are followed.Coordination of task assignment to ensure Warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.Understand Key Performance Indicators and educate team members on them. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment of work with KPI's, goals and improvement initiatives.Ensure superior customer service is provided to customers and internal partners by delivering on shipping commitments.Make recommendations to the Warehouse Manager to facilitate continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.Maintain effective communication with other departments: Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Customer Service, Human Resources, Logistics and Procurement functions.Ensure adherence to company rules and policies, including but not limited to safety, training requirements, and GMP's.Ensure adherence to USDA, FDA, BRC, and OSHA regulations.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Personal Safety and Food safety are the responsibility of every employee.
