Job Description Albertsons/Acme is working to become the favorite food and drug retailer in every market it serves. The organization includes 2,230 stores, 27 distribution facilities and 19 manufacturing plants with over 250,000 employees across 34 states and the District of Columbia. POSITION PURPOSE: Effectively count pick slots daily to support selection and operations. Audit completed orders to ensure selector accuracy and/or inbound to ensure replacement accuracy. SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday Day Shift DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively audit designated selectors, and product groups and communicate observed results to appropriate levels of management.
- Audit outgoing product to ensure that correct pallet size and quantities are correct as noted on the shipping documents.
- Assemble and disassemble palletized merchandise in the course of auditing product before shipment.
- Regularly communicate to supervision the findings of recurring problems or issues from retail or dock audits to management.
- Consistently complete error-free results by accurately filling out paperwork.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess working knowledge of warehouse selection and loading operations gained by prior work experience in a warehouse environment.
- Possess good math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
- Requires analytical ability and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Daily shift overtime or weekend work may be required due to operational needs.
- Needs to be pallet jack certified.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- Incumbent may stand for long periods of time during the majority of the workday.
- Incumbent will be moving about the Distribution Center floor with a temperature range from 30 to 95 degrees F.
- Incumbent will also break downloads and lift between 20-100 lb. on a daily basis. Potential hazards exist regarding machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.
- Must be able to tolerate extensive walking, and standing, and have the ability to climb steps.
