As part of our operations team in Niles, OH, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory, and coordinating activities of the warehouse staff. This Position... Involves managing inventory levels, ensuring timely and precise dispatch of goods, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Some examples of the work you might do include...

  • Lead warehouse staff by assigning tasks pertaining to efficient movement of goods, monitor performance, and provide training and guidance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor stock levels, utilize dual verification of all inventory movements, oversee the receipt and storage of goods, and ensure location accuracy, and communicate any shortage, overage, or delays in shipping or receiving of goods to Supply Chain immediately upon findings.
  • Work with other departments, suppliers, and transportation companies to ensure smooth logistics and resolve any issues, knowledge of proper shipping procedures for out of country shipments, hazmat regulations, and weight and height regulations to ensure proper passage through customs.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures, provide instructions and safety protocols to drivers or approved visitors entering the yard or facility, conduct regular SQCI Safety - Quality - Continuous Improvement and 5S inspections, and monitor conditions of equipment and facilities.
  • Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve warehouse operations.
  • Prepare and review performance metrics, including shipping times, inventory accuracy, order accuracy, on time delivery, productivity, and maintain shipping spreadsheet for all products that come into and leave the facility.
What Do You Need?
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logics or supply chain management a plus
  • 4-6 year of inventory or warehouse experience required
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics leadership role
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software
  • Ability to follow and guide others in Work Processes and Procedures
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with 5S/Lean principles preferred
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • SAP/Visual working knowledge, preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Provide quality customer service
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
