Apply Today!Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm Base Pay: $21/hr-$28/hr Job Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist plays a vital role in managing the distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and materials. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, coordinate and maintain accurate documents, including bills of lading, labels, and customs paperwork for domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries and track shipment status.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and requirements and export controls.
  • Working with customs brokers on imports and exports, including completion of commercial invoices.
  • Receive incoming raw materials, components, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.
  • Inspect received materials for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Ensure accurate recording of receiving transactions in inventory management systems and maintain proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of received materials, finished products, and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventory audits to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Generate reports on shipping and receiving performance metrics, including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and shipment costs.
  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on activities and any issues or concerns.
Job Qualifications:
  • A.S. Degree or B.S. Degree in Business, or relevant field, desired.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control or logistics coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), required.
  • Familiarity with Inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, requirements and export controls.
