Job Description:
I. Position Summary The Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory systems. By overseeing physical inventory counts and ensuring data accuracy in our ERP software, this position is vital to our operational efficiency. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in inventory management, ERP systems, and cross-departmental collaboration. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help prevent stock discrepancies and contribute to a smoother production flow. To succeed in this position, you will need strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Physical stamina and the ability to handle large items are also essential. II. Reporting Relationship Reports to the Operations Manager No direct reports III. Key Accountabilities 1) Inventory Management •Maintain accurate inventory counts in ERP software •Conduct regular physical inventory counts to verify stock levels •Track and reorder consumables to maintain optimal inventory levels •Monitor and report on inventory levels to prevent stockouts of overstock situations 2) Stock Handling and Organization •Stock items into inventory and ensure proper placement and organization •Pull stocked items from inventory for production or shipment as required •Identify and sort received items that require quality inspection, ensuring proper conformance tracking 3) Collaboration and Process Improvement •Work with various departments to evaluate and organize inventory •Assist in assembling kits of sub-assemblies to support production •Continuously improve the efficiency of the inventory area, leading initiatives to enhance stock organization and placement levels IV. Qualifications •High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred •Previous experience in inventory management or a related role Familiarity with inventory auditing and cycle counting
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Competency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Forms, Gmail, etc)
  • Physical ability to lift and move inventory items as needed (75 lbs)
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping •Excellent organizational and time management skills •Willingness and ability to become forklift certified, or currently certified •Clean driving record with an active driver's license •Ability to drive large vehicles and tow trailers (No CDL required) V.
