Rapiscan, an OSI Systems Company is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist, based out of Billerica, MA

The role can be broken into 2 main categories. First, you will be performing a wide variety of hands-on, direct labor picking to support both the ship-along process for the Cargo product line and staging of material for production. Second, you will be responsible for assisting with production control, analysis and investigation with the Planner and Manufacturing Lead.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the kitting, picking, and packing of material that flows through the Pack and Ship cell.
  • Responsible for kitting and staging of work orders for production.
  • Coordinates with production to ensure ship-along material is ready and supports the overall production schedule.
  • Coordinates with Logistics to provide Ship Kit and Post Ship Kit material ready for crating, packaging, and shipment.
  • Responsible for kitting and staging of work orders to support the production schedule, ensuring that activity is consistent with priorities for Production.
  • Monitors and reports on status of kitting and picking activity for assigned activities, including shortages and inventory issues.
  • Provides support to Supply Chain to address supply shortages and inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist in the research and resolution of issues, questions, or problems that arise to include part shortages, part discrepancies, and Bill of Materials (BOM) errors.
  • Assist in the investigation of production control problems, analysis of root causes, and development of solutions.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy by properly counting, recording, and staging parts.
  • Multi-task to support changing demands to meet production and shipping deadlines while maintaining shipping schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to drive material expediting needed to meet production requirements.
  • Safety of personnel, quality of products, and on time shipment of products meeting customer's expectations are key objectives of all employees.

  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma and 0-2 years of inventory or production control experience
  • Ability to understand bills of material (BOM) structures in a complex, multi-level product environment
  • Experience with ERP software desired, preferably Microsoft D365
  • Basic Excel skills, as well as Microsoft Outlook and Teams
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, use basic hand tools as required and work independently
  • Basic excel skills are a plus!
