Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a Michigan-based building materials supplier for both commercial and residential industries, who is actively looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join their Operations team. This role will focus on inventory management, building vendor relationships, and auditing inventory systems. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, experienced in supply chain management, and more.

Inventory Control Specialist Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory levels utilizing the ERP system and auditing with physical counts.
• Monitor and maintain safety stock levels and place purchase orders as needed.
• Refresh and audit inventory replenishment plans and adjust accordingly.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Monitor and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain organization of shipment yard.
• Periodically service customers throughout the day.

Inventory Control Specialist Qualifications:

To be considered for the Inventory Control Specialist position, applicants should:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related.
• Experience in inventory or supply chain management, or related field.
• Ability to compute basic math.
• Ability to think independently and use good judgement.
• Strong attention to detail and computer competency.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience using inventory management systems or ERP sales ordering systems.
• Effective communication skills, organized with attention to detail and follow-up.
