Inventory Control Specialist

The Inventory Control Specialist will have the primary responsibility of maintaining accurate inventory levels ensuring that optimal inventory is present and ready for use across all stages of production. This function requires an individual who can pay very close attention to detail in order to effectively manage inventory related procedures throughout the facility. Some essential duties and responsibilities:- Maintains accurate records of incoming and outgoing material- Work with Quality and Shipping/Receiving teams to establish and facilitate inspection processes on incoming goods- Monitor and control inventory integrity, including product identification and location maintenance, inventory discrepancies, maintenance and/or corrections- Management of cycle counting, location auditing, inventory control practices and procedures to maintain accuracy and assure compliance with audit requirements - Responsible for the day-to-day operations of IC support functions, including but not limited to; inventory control, space management, replenishments, and returns- Identify and determine root causes of inventory deviation through cause and effect analysis using continuous improvement methodologies - Design, review and modify inventory audit criteria, processes, procedures and reports for the purpose of improving and/or maintaining inventory accuracy- Coordinate with all departments to assure inventory accuracy and effective transfer practices- Responsible for training, documentation and implementation of best practices with respect to ERP/MRP transactional requirements, and inventory control- Identify, research & resolve inventory discrepancies- Coordinate and manage daily physical and perpetual cycle counting efforts- Report, monitor and review daily inventory adjustments and changes - Resolve inventory issues / discrepancies, problem orders and intercompany transfer issuesFor the most part this is a Monday-Friday day shift role but when they have an audit you could work late or on a Saturday.
