Momence Packing CompanyInventory Control Specialist1st ShiftPosition Overview:This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive individual who is dedicated to continuous improvement and exceptional customer service to join the Maintenance and Engineering Team as a Inventory Control Specialist. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of activities.
Primary Responsibilities: - Inventory Management: Tracking inventory parts, watching for shortages and overstock, general parts room housekeeping, replacing faded or missing labels and organizing parts cabinets
- Managing accountability for Part's Room security and parts distribution accountability
- Cycle counting weekly
- Receive and manage inbound MRO parts and materials
- Manage and send out parts for repair /rebuild
- Input pictures to part numbers in SAP
- Assist Technicians and Operators with locating parts as necessary
- Work with Accounting on packing list or invoice discrepancies and submissions
- Coordinate parts return to vendors and fill out the proper documentation
- Identify critical parts and slow moving or obsolete parts
- Work with Planner and MRO with changes made to stock parts (safety stock, vendor part numbers)
- Run inventory accuracy, inventory turns and scrapped parts reports for Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Planner and MRO
- Run blocked invoices and verify that parts were received, and quantities match the PO
- Set up new parts in inventory utilizing parts add forms
- Staging/kitting of parts and materials needed for scheduled work orders /PMs
- Create physical inventory documents and review inventory reports
- Participate in Continuous Improvement and RCA/Problem Solving Teams
- Ownership of the DMS (Daily Management System), for MRO / Inventory Control within the plant's Reliability Team
- Complete all other duties as assigned
- Adjust min/max levels as needed on stocked parts
- Data analysis, historical data tracking and reporting using SAP, Bob J, and Excel (Equipment repair, downtime, KPI's, parts usage, etc.)
- Maintain documentation of maintenance files
Education - High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Experience - 1-3 years prior related Maintenance MRO experience required; GMP/USDA regulated area, preferred
- Working knowledge of computer inventory/maintenance/parts management system preferred
- Proven experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP preferred

Working Conditions - Temperatures will vary depending on time of the year (winter/summer)
- Physical demands for this position require being able to work and stand most of the time
- Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly
- Member must be able to carry and push 5 to 40 pounds approximately
