Your role at Clorox:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of inventory management of the PDC department.

In this role, you will:

Candidate must be highly influential within the team, possessing strong decision-making skills, a strong team leader with the ability to effectively direct PDC resources to deliver the day-to-day DC objectives and can deliver solid communication and interpersonal skills.

The inventory control specialist will report to the PDC manager supporting all aspects of inventory management, as well as assisting in staffing, cost management and resource planning. Please see Skill Blocks for more details.

Level/Salary Range: Level A $27.10; Level B $28.53

Position Type: Full Time M-F 8:00 – 4:30pm and as required by business needs

What we look for:

A -level

Skill Block Technical Skills:

  • Proficient Finished Goods Inventory Owner

  • Manages documentation sent to vault for cycle count retention/compliance

  • Creates/ Maintains cycle count process

  • Owns process for creating orders for HT Chep/WW pallets

  • Owns process for creating orders for crystal inventory

  • Check for out of stocks, process returns and all inbounds – foreign and domestic

  • Aids in determining additional need for WW pallet runs to include counts

  • Basic knowledge in all applicable systems (SAP, AOP, ets)

  • Basic knowledge in dunnage operation

  • MS Office proficient

Skill Block Improvement Skills:

  • Understand your role within the department improvement plans and the corporate IGNITE strategy

  • Understand the learning event process (i.e. HOP, RFIs, CIFs) to be able to support them as needed

  • Complete the following standard work trainings, Abnormalities, Visual Controls, Work Place Organization, Continuous Improvement Mindset

  • Basic Understanding of DC Ops Dashboard

B Level

Skill Block Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge in all SAP/AOP functions

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of pallet operation and ordering (including purchase requisitions and purchase orders)

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of staffing capabilities (including UltiPro, OST, vacations, etc.)

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the dunnage operations

  • Actively own the productivity tracking tool

  • Actively assist in the inventory count process when necessary

  • Actively monitor hostler coverage and outbound operation

  • Complete Train the Trainer and implement learnings by coaching and training others

Skill Block Improvement Skills:

  • Complete the Work in Place Organization GME module and Continuous Improvement Mindset GME module

  • Actively assists in improving department/role's processes using loss elimination tools

  • Assists in executing department improvement plans

  • Actively assists in leading events (i.e. HOP, RFI's, CIF's)
