Inventory Control SpecialistDepartment: Supply Chain Reports to: Inventory Supervisor Location: Wendell, NC Position Status: Ful-Time Status: Salary, Exempt Management Level: Non-Management JOB SUMMARY KIOTI Tractor, a leader in the design and manufacture of compact tractors, utility vehicles, turf care, and compact construction equipment, is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team onsite in Wendell, NC. The Inventory Control Specialist serves as a support person to the Inventory Manager and the Warehouse shipping and receiving. This person will be cross-trained and gain exposure to many functions including claims processing, inventory maintenance, site transfers, cycle counting, and other warehouse functions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB The Inventory Control Specialist's key responsibilities are outlined below: Inventory Management:
- Transfer inventory to appropriate locations
- Track incoming and outgoing product
- Provide inventory control reporting as required
- Maintain count accuracy (digital and physical counting)
- Annual physical inventory counting
- Improvement projects
- Identify new pick locations to streamline receiving/shipping process
- Identify, research, and resolve mislabeled parts
- Locate misplaced parts to help satisfy sale to customer
- Resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying errors and complete proper corrections
- Help maintain proper product identification and location accuracy and ability to transfer product to correct location if needed
- Monitor and control inventory integrity
Other Responsibilities:
- Review product on each shelf, clean and replace old, unreadable labels
- Determine and track KPIs
- Optimize employee workflow to improve processes
- Help monitor inventory levels and report findings to the Procurement team if needed
- Inspect all equipment and order repairs and replacements when required and include daily maintenance reports to facilitator
EDUCATIONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 1-5 years of related inventory experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods of time in a non-climate controlled environment
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Familiarity with inventory control
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information
- Forklift Certification is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required, experience with Solomon, Dynamics SL, or similar CRM a plus
