Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for validating the integrity of the company's inventory. This role will work collaboratively with several cross functional teams to maintain or improve inventory metrics and best practices. This position will be required to manage the needs of the production floor, warehouse and office.
Must be authorized to work in U.S.A. The company is not able to sponsor visas at this time.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct physical daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual inventory counts to prevent and resolve potential problems
* Audit procedures and processes to ensure data integrity or improvements
* Manages excess and obsolete material inventory for disposition of aged materials
* Coordinate inventory information with cross functional teams as needed
* Lead inventory counts as needed
* Collaborate with customers regarding finished goods inventory for date-sensitive product for expiration and facilitate removal, transfer or billing against a purchase order
* Provide timely feedback for purchasing, scheduling, production, sales and customer service regarding customer or vendor constraints
* Collaborate with the quality department to release products placed on restrictions to determine compliance with customer specification
* Must comply with IATF and ISO requirements and audits.
* Additional duties as necessary to support inventory management
Experience, Skills and Abilities
* Expertise in managing expectations with positive, professional and courteous behavior
* Able to problem solve and apply critical thinking skills to issue at hand
* Detail oriented to manage the data entry and counting requirements
* Strong organization skills
* Expertise with ERP systems, SAP preferred
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office application capabilities (Excel, Word)
* Self-starter with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Education and Technical Requirements
* Associates degree in business or supply chain management or equivalent experience with inventory control in a manufacturing environment
* Two or more years of experience with inventory control including: cycle counting, finished goods, WIP, stock adjustments, inventory reporting
* Minimum of three years working with an ERP system (SAP preferred)
