Job Description Summary: The Inventory Coordinator's responsibilities will include working closely with senior Property Management personnel to perform a full range of government property management functions for one of Draper's program areas. This position is heavily focused on program property inventory, maintenance of the property database and property closeout. Responsibilities include frequent interface with internal customers and working closely with senior leadership to track, inventory and manage government assets effectively and efficiently. Must possess excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills and the ability to understand and implement customer contractual requirements in a manner which fully supports compliance and various Government audits. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities •Facilitate physical inventory and associated records updates. •Conduct property/records research and facilitate program specific property closeout actions. •Locate government property and facilitate loss investigations. •Maintain an accurate and auditable system of record (records clean-up, contract transfers, movement, transactions, asset retirement, shipments, etc.) •Support processes to identify and disposition excess/obsolete property. •Monitor end-user process compliance and report issues to management. •Acquisition verification/reconciliation to include the evaluation and comparison of incoming equipment against Purchase Orders, packing slips and DD Form 1149's. •Work closely with internal Calibration Laboratory to ensure proper care and maintenance of newly purchased or incoming equipment. •Oversee movement of assets and associated record updates, including temporary movement off-site •Provide DCMA audit support. •Assists in processing property transfers to outside storage and/or disposal and assists in updating the records accordingly. Skills/Abilities •Knowledge of inventory control and accountability of government property is helpful. •Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it pertains to Government Property is desirable. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. •Ability to prioritize competing tasks with minimum supervision. •Knowledge of eQuip software application. Education •Requires a High school degree or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor's in Business, Accounting, or other relavent field is preferred. •A current NPMA certification of at least the CPPS level is desirable. Experience Requires 3-5 years experience in a financial or business discipline. Experience in a material/asset management environment preferred Additional Job Description: Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
