Job Description:

Our client is a global company looking to add an Inventory Coordinator to their team. This role will sit in their Jersey City office.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k - $80k

Position Overview:

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the flow of inventory within a company. This role ensures accurate tracking, efficient organization, and timely replenishment of stock to meet operational demands. The ideal candidate for the Inventory Coordinator role is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities of the Inventory Coordinator:

* Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and locations. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Monitor inventory turnover and implement strategies to optimize stock levels.

* Order Processing: Coordinate purchase orders with vendors and suppliers to maintain appropriate stock levels. Verify received shipments against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies. Oversee the return of defective or excess products to suppliers.

* Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare detailed inventory reports, including stock trends, shortages, and excesses. Use data to forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and seasonal demands. Identify areas for cost-saving and process improvement.

* Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Procurement, Sales, and Warehouse teams to align inventory needs. Communicate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders regarding stock status and issues. Provide training and guidance to staff on inventory processes and procedures.

* Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all inventory processes adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of inventory storage areas. Implement and uphold quality control standards for inventory management.

Qualifications for the Inventory Coordinator:

* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a similar role.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

* Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Working Conditions: The role may require standing, walking, and lifting items for extended periods. Work may be conducted in a warehouse, office, or hybrid environment, depending on company needs. May include occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts to meet deadlines.

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
