***FIRE / BURGLAR ALARM TECHNICIAN***
**Licensed (or close to getting licensed)** to inspect and maintain fire alarm systems, making necessary repairs and/or recommendations regarding repair and maintenance of systems. Services and repairs burglar alarm systems.
***What youll do:***
1. Test and inspect fire alarm systems per periodic schedule. Inspect, adjust, clean and calibrate systems.
2. Ability to identify code and non-code conformance issues
3. Ensure equipment is in excellent working condition.
4. Compliance of inspections - write follow-up reports and make recommendations for remedial measures, if and when necessary.
5. Troubleshoot and repair installed systems, to include fire and burglar alarm systems.
6. Participate on an on-call schedule on a rotating basis.
7. Be able to meet the physical demands of the job, such as carrying tools and equipment, able to climb ladders, high lift equipment, working with ducts, crawl spaces, above ceiling, etc.
8. Present a professional appearance and maintain a clean, orderly vehicle
***Who you are:***
1. **A Rhode Island licensed technician holding a fire license (BF).**
2. Have thorough knowledge of RI's Fire Alarm Code and of the National Electrical Code.
3. Minimum (2) years experience with fire alarms
4. Have knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
5. Have ability to read and interpret blueprints
6. Have a valid drivers license.
7. Desire to grow and develop your technology skills.
