Inventory Management needed for a contractopportunity with SOC's client to work in Melbourne, FL. ***US citizenship required*** Responsiblefor creating and tracking equipment shipments to and from customer sites. Supports program related RMA returns, spares inventories, parts management, and audits, plus general shipping for the team. Responsibilities:
- Generates variety of standard reports.
- Manage quarterly spares audits within defined schedules.
- Support / manage local shipping needs for various program needs.
- Coordinate/organize/track shipping and receiving within the program.
- Ship equipment utilizing proprietary software to support customer requirements.
- Determines routing and arrangements for shipments within parameters, considering:
- Nature of items being shipped
- Method of handling
- Size
- Urgency
- Cost
Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments Receives incoming materials, unpacks, and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks upon receipt of internal certification Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements May perform wood shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates Qualifications Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
