Summary

This position is located at the United States Mint in West Point, NY in the Internal Controls Division. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will work closely with Production, Shipping/Receiving and Quality personnel in maintaining data in the agency approved Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP).

Duties

As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will:

* Maintain inventory control records using ERP system.

* Monitor usage transactions, prepare systems entries, and refer to ERP system and control records to respond to user inquiries regarding the availability of materials and track the sequences of transactions to resolve problems.

* Develop well documented reports for management and productions supervisors to update them on production plans, completed production, and projected and current differences.

* File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Be sure all experience is documented in your resume by indicating place of employment, job title, length of time performing the duties, and the name and contact information for the supervisor. We must be able to verify this experience in your resume in order for you to receive credit.

For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

* Utilization of an asset tracking system and enterprise resource planning software; AND

* Performing physical inventories for an organization; AND

* Documentary control of the receipt and or issuance of stock property items in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures.

OR

A masters or equivalent graduate degree.

OR

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a masters degree.

OR

LL.B. or J.D., if related.

OR

A combination of the education and experience. For example: the completion of 50% requirements for J.D. and 6 months of specialized experience.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

For the GS-09 you must have been at the GS-07 level for 52 weeks.
