POSITION SUMMARY Oversee all functions of day-to-day parts and supplies with a focus on overall organization and accuracy of facilities inventory. Coordinate with Operations, Scheduling, purchasing and sales to assure a high level of accuracy and accountability with inventory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Work closely with Operations and Scheduling to meet and/or exceed company accuracy, efficiency & quality standards. Develop and manage a cycle counting processes to assure the accuracy of inventory counts. Develop the proper structure of company departments to achieve optimal quantity on hand, out of stock and in process inventory control measures. Ensure that inventory discrepancies are investigated and corrected in a timely manner. Assist in ongoing inventory control programs and protocols. Understand the strategy, vision and expansion model of the company including a basic understanding of the company's business; be aware of and help to uniformly enforce organizational policies and best practices procedures. Work daily and effectively to balance stress of multiple projects, conflicting priorities, substantial workload, environmental ambiguity and changing plans through self- management and productive communication with the Management Team regarding needs for department support. Coordinate with Operations and Scheduling to re-align warehouse racking in support of safe and proper manufacturing operations. Perform day-to-day parts and supplies stocking to support maintenance, repair, and operations of all plant systems. Maintain computer system accuracy of inventory using (GSS) software package. Clearly label and accurately stock parts to bin/rack locations. Assist in the production of company parts and products. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Conduct duties in a safe, productive manner and in compliance with applicable OSHA and General Equipment Company safety regulations. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Mechanical aptitude and skills necessary to meet the essential job functions. Knowledge of forecasting and reporting abilities as related to ERP (GSS) system usage. Excellent conceptual thinking skills and the ability to identify and analyze complex and sensitive issues, problems, and conflicts and to use independent judgment to make decisions, and to recommend and/or implement solutions. Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently, and diplomatically, both orally and in writing to maintain excellent interpersonal and cooperative relationships while participating in sectional and cross-functional groups and teams involving management and staff. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities with time constraints and interruptions to meet deadlines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision. Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm, maintain a sense of humor and to regularly present a well-groomed, professional image. Ability to exhibit desirable and appropriate behavior including integrity, industriousness, sense of urgency and confidentiality and independent judgment to provide for a cohesive working environment dedicated to achieving the organization's goals. Ability to work effectively and respectfully with staff, managers, executives and others with a variety of working styles to achieve accountability and results using authority and influence sensitively to garner cooperation and maintain service excellence.
