Location: Topsfield, MA

Hourly Range: $25.00 - $27.00 /hr DoE

Responsibilities:

Assigns work to group personnel and augments the department as an operator to ensure continuity of work. Aids in the receiving and recording of all material and prepares for actual shipping of material to customer as well as necessary record keeping.

  • Coordinate with Contracts, Program Management, and/or Administration for determination of scheduled shipment dates and assists in design of packaging requirements, prepares packing lists, and ensures all shipping documentation is correct. assists with moving invoicing to the next level as well as files appropriate paperwork in job folder.
  • Check goods received against bill of lading, purchase orders or other documents.
  • Record all stock, either on appropriate recording forms or on computerized data base.
  • Sort, count, and check raw materials, finished and semi-finished parts and kit parts.
  • Disburse material upon presentation of properly executed stock requisition.
  • Always knows the location of material within stock room.
  • Order supplies for the stockroom and assists in the maintenance of a perpetual inventory.
  • Assist purchasing with expediting material and fulfilling kit shortages. May take on various planning tasks
  • Control ordering of all packaging materials to support packaging needs.
  • Receive and prepares all paperwork for incoming materials, assists with moving invoicing to the next level as well as files appropriate paperwork in job folder.
  • Decode and ensure compliance with all contractual packaging specifications.
  • Provide for all modes of shipping. Select the most economical and expedient means of shipping company goods consistent with contractual requirements. Must be familiar with UPS, Fed Ex, DHL as well as Freight Forwarding companies.
  • Files claims for all lost or damaged goods. Traces all shipments when forwarding information is required or delay has incurred.
  • Makes deliveries and picks up material, etc., as required.
  • Performs the duties of the Stock Clerk, Shipping Clerk or Materials Clerk as needed.
  • Maintains a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendors.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years experience. Must be familiar with UPS, Fed Ex, DHL as well as Freight Forwarding companies.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Legible handwriting and basic math abilities
  • Excellent communications skills, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency
