Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced 3rd shift Inventory Manager for a new opportunity with our client in the Charlotte area. The primary purpose of the Inventory Manager is to maintain inventory accuracy and monitor internal controls related to inventory.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Establishment and maintenance of Warehouse Inventory Standards.
- Design, develop and maintain internal control systems to minimize inventory variances.
- Review the results of daily cycle counts with the Controller and Warehouse Management to ensure a proper reconciliation.
- Act as a resource related to researching inventory variances. This includes specialized knowledge in areas such as PO Receipts, Location Moves, Transfers, Returns to Suppliers, etc.
- Maintain and meet expectations of inventory variances within the required monthly budget.
- Ensure daily inventory cycle counts are performed and all significant variances are investigated and resolved.
- Any significant variances identified during previous counts.
- A full dunnage inventory count will be conducted once a month.
- Cycle counts will be required on weekends periodically to attain adequate count coverage.
- Results of daily counts should be reviewed with the Controller and Warehouse Manager. This includes addressing the following type of issues:
- Manage the physical inventory process, which includes staffing, organizing the counting process, and researching variances identified.
- Advise purchasing manager of any excessive inventory positions.
- Cross-train warehouse management on cycle counts to ensure adequate coverage in your absence and for physical inventories.
- Maintain records of inventory adjustments as required by company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred).
- Ability to work 3rd shift Monday - Friday, and one Saturday per month.
- 5+ years of Inventory Management experience.
- ERP/MRP software system experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Outstanding communication and leadership capabilities.
