Position Overview:

We are seeking a technically curious, hands-on Inventory Manager. The candidate will conduct equipment and plant inspections, manage equipment documentation, and support sales teams with technical knowledge. This role is ideal for a former Plant Maintenance or Facilities Manager who understands process equipment, flow diagrams, and technical details and prefers a structured 9-to-5 role with some travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections at various plants (primarily in the U.S. with some international travel) to document equipment details, condition, and technical features.
  • Write detailed descriptions of equipment, photograph assets, and gather associated documentation such as drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Asset Management and Head of Projects to ensure thorough data collection and accurate reporting.
  • Manage inventory systems, ensuring equipment data, photos, pricing, and project information are documented and up-to-date.
  • Assist sales teams by providing technical support, answering RFIs, and helping to evaluate equipment for potential sales.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of process equipment and flow diagrams.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and equipment documentation processes.
  • Ability to work independently, with an inquisitive mindset and a knack for figuring things out.
  • Comfortable with travel and capable of balancing fieldwork with office-based tasks.
  • Proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications, particularly advanced Excel.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural aptitude for technical sales support.

Travel: 20-25% domestic and international travel. Most trips are 1-3 days in duration.
