JOB SUMMARY The Inventory Material Specialist is vital to warehouse operations, responsible for managing materials to ensure accurate stock tracking and order fulfillment. This role involves moving, handling, and storing materials, including loading and unloading from storage areas and delivery trucks. The specialist assists the entire inventory lifecycle-receiving, storing, and distributing products and supplies-while supporting efficient operations though proactive inventory management and teamwork. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Count Accuracy: Maintain both digital and physical count accuracy through regular checks and reconciliations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols while operating equipment and tools to ensure a safe working environment.
- Production Standards: Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks to meet established production standards within designated timelines.
- Labeling and Sticking: Properly label and sticker all products to facilitate organization and retrieval.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with all vault team members to ensure production standards are consistently met.
- Forklift Operations: Operate forklifts safely and efficiently as required for inventory handling.
- Quality Verification: Verify the accuracy of the quantity and quality of incoming deliveries to maintain stock integrity.
- Product Organization: Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process to streamline operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Outdoor Work: Be prepared to work outside in various weather conditions as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience in distribution or warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adhere to strict policies and procedures.
- Highly organized with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with peers.
- Excellent time-management abilities and capability to multitask.
- Adaptability to fast-paced and changing work environments.
- Proficient in data entry, basic math, and general computer skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience in environments that provide constructive feedback.
- Must be 21 years or older and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to ensure facility compliance.
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements in the cannabis industry.
- Must be able to internalize training and follow instructions accurately.
