**Job Summary**

**Work Shift**

1 - First Shift****

The Inventory Planning Analyst develops and maintains item planning data for inventory purposes while assisting in the management of inventory and parts forecasting. This position assists with strategic inventory management projects to ensure goals are being maintained by investigating backorders and taking the appropriate actions to correct the problem. Work closely with production control and other groups to ensure demand is met, cost is minimized, and lead times are reduced while achieving company goals.****

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.

2. Identify and respond to inventory planning needs for dealer, customer, and future markets, including reviewing inventory replenishment models (i.e. min/max, forecasting).

3. Process Engineering Change Notices per New Product and Process Development requirements.

4. Respond to customer service requests regarding pricing and availability and work with warehouse or inventory teams to review stocking levels through collaboration with the My Support Team, responding and processing workflows and AVLs.

5. Maintain and make changes to existing Sales Orders due to incoming cancellation request, vendor requirements, substitutions, address changes, etc.

6. Process incoming invoices for Direct Ship items in a timely fashion.

7. Manage and report strategic inventories for specialty markets. This may include inventory support at the dealer and customer level.

8. Provide analytical support to the operations and lifecycle planning process

9. Manage Vendor Managed Inventory and work with Des Moines Bolt to keep stocking leveling in line with demand, adjust in the necessary systems to keep VMI items current and fulfilling backorders in a timely fashion.

10. Manage all monthly and special returns by approving returns based on inventory planning needs.

**Education and/or Experience**

- Bachelors Degree in Business Management with at least 3 years' experience managing inventory and inventory systems.

- Or an Associates Degree with at least 5 years inventory management experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Other Skills and Abilities**

- Ability to lead and reach consensus with cross functional cost savings teams including, but not limited, to Engineering, Procurement, Marketing, and dealer network.

- Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.

- Ability to create accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standard work, and training materials.

- Knowledge of warehouse inventory levels, terms and conditions, contracts, pricing, purchase orders, blanket orders and sales and marketing data.

- Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to provide dealers with high level of service.

- In-depth knowledge of inventory management.

**Certificates, Licenses, Registration**

Inventory Management Certification preferred.

**Travel**

Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane may be required.
