Overview

Supports the activities required to monitor and maintain the inventory integrity of stock and responsible for the oversight, and ongoing maintenance of the PAR levels throughout D-HH.

Responsibilities

Assists in the maintenance of the D-HH sites to assure the accuracy of system data. Performs cyclical physical inventories of Distribution stock to verify on-hand stock status and to identify overages, shortages, or discrepancies Assists with edits/updates of the Distribution Stock Catalog Processes return paperwork; assuring proper credits are applied for each par stocking location Inputs supply requisitions/shopping guide orders Performs user level programming of hand-held computer Maintains and updates departmental par level/exchange cart master file listings Enters data into the call tracking system Inventories par level supply storage areas utilizing a hand-held computer or manual inventory method Coordinates with purchasing personnel to resolve purchase order or receipt discrepancies Performs PAR capacity analysis. Analyzes inventory/product data, utilizing customized query utilization reports and formulates recommendations for adjustments as necessary to influence effective resource allocations and positive financial outcomes Meets with department managers or directors to review PAR statistical data and makes recommendations for adjustments which meet the needs of the department and provides for positive financial outcomes for D-HH Implements approved changes, entering changes to the par level in the MMIS system Oversees the PAR system. Updates/maintains department par level and exchange cart master file listings Performs quality control checks of employee par level, exchange carts and picking/replenishing Researches and resolves inventory, product and stock issues and problems. Assures internal customers concerns and external regulatory requirements are handled in a professional manner, following up as necessary Sets up new par stocking locations Meets regularly with internal customers to review par levels and service issues Provides leadership to team and assists in the orientation/training of new staff. Regulatory Compliance a. Responsible for accurate handling, distribution and inventory control of certain pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

* High school graduate or equivalent required

* Three (3) years of experience related to shipping/receiving, warehousing, storekeeping, hospital central service/distribution or inventory control required

* Training and/or experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access computer software programs preferred

* Knowledge of inventory control principles and procedures

* Knowledge of computer data entry/data processing procedures in a Materials Management environment and knowledge of automated Material Management computer systems

* Skill in leading teams and the formal and informal direction of others

* Skill in planning, organizing and implementing work assignments or projects

* Possess good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff and leaders across the organization

* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and perform efficiently under pressure

* Ability to take initiative, set priorities and use good judgement
