What You'll Be Doing
As the Inventory and Shipping Specialist you must have the ability to complete data entry in both customer and company systems of record, perform double checks, assist customers with product location and delivery times. As the go-to person in the warehouse for inventory, you will be working with the warehouse team, our customers, as well as those in customer support and order fulfillment. As this position is fast paced, your day will go very quickly as you provide correct shipping paperwork and excellent customer service. You may also serve as load planners for all of our highest priority customer deliveries.

Scope and ResponsibilitiesSome of your duties will include: *Perform inventory receipt entry in the Chem-Star WMS and/or customer system(s) of record. *Processes specialized customer transactions in Rinchem's and/or customer system(s) of record (Hold, damaged, disposition) *Performs inventory cycle counts and enters customer reconciliation reports in the Chem-Star WMS and/or customer system(s) of record. *Research inventory discrepancies *Performs quality checks on outbound, staged shipments. *Answers basic questions about delivery and inventory for warehouse, customers, and internal customer experience team *Provides truck driver directions. *Receives and makes calls for LTL appointments. *Schedules Rinchem dock appointments for both internal and external customers *Answers emails regarding basic questions about inventory, transportation scheduling, etc. (internal and external customers) *Generates specialized shipping paperwork (BOLs, Manifests, IATA, IMDG) that may include calculating truck weight and determining load capacity. *Performs general administrative work for the CSC that includes, but not limited to the following: *Entering Perfect Order Index (Quality Records) for Warehouse *Opening & routing mail for warehouse *Responsible for Visitor's log, filing/record retention *Archiving records and managing facility office supplies *Acts as liaison with service center visitors *Trains backup [or 2-in-a-box] to perform all functions for their assigned responsibilities. *Enters Customer Records and handles PO Process with Customer

QualificationsYou should have the following: *Strong data entry skills *Strong attention to detail Experience and Education: *High School Diploma or GED *Some college preferred. *At least 3 years of customer service experience Communication Skills: *Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. *Ability to create accurate, meaningful, and professional correspondence. Computer Skills: *Ability to learn system(s) of record. *Accurate data entry *MS Office suite skills and experience (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint) *Familiarity with Non-conformance reports and system and ability to help determine root cause and make suggestions for continuous improvement. Other Skills and Abilities: *Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. *Self-directed and motivated; able to take initiative on one's own *Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities *Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly. *Ability to obtain IMDG, IATA, and other Regulatory Certifications as needed. (We will train you!) *Must be able to handle flexible schedule.
