$20.00 per hour SUMMARY OVERVIEW The Inventory Specialist is a mission-critical role that executes inventory management tasks to ensure organization, accurate tracking, sufficient stock levels, and compliance. This role involves receiving, putting away, maintaining, and dispatching commissary items for customer aircraft, as well as other tasks such as keeping inventory records, addressing discrepancies, and applying inventory management best practices, such as proper inventory rotation (FIFO, LIFO, etc.), per customer standards. RESPONSIBILITIES · Oversee inventory to ensure essential supplies are always available, minimizing the risk of shortages that could disrupt airport operations · Regularly check inventory accuracy against records, identifying and correcting any discrepancies to maintain reliable inventory data · Keep detailed and up-to-date records of inventory quantities and locations using inventory management software for easy tracking · Work closely with procurement and logistics to order and receive supplies in a timely manner, avoiding stockouts · Establish and maintain efficient systems for managing inventory, including automated tracking, and reordering processes · Educate airport staff on proper inventory management practices to ensure consistency and accuracy across departments · Work with various departments like maintenance and operations to understand their specific inventory requirements · Ensure all stored items meet safety and regulatory standards, particularly important in the airport environment · Generate regular reports detailing inventory levels, usage, and projections for management review · Manage the processes of receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness · Develop and uphold policies and procedures to maintain consistent inventory management practices · Contribute to budget planning by analyzing and forecasting inventory-related costs · Provide training to staff on inventory systems or technologies, ensuring smooth implementation and usage · Brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety · May be assigned other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS · 18 years of age or older · Eligible to work in the United States · High School Diploma · Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, or related roles · Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry · Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures · Intermediate/Highly proficient Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook · Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record · Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents · Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices · Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means · Pass a background check and drug screen · Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal- as applicable) · Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
