Little Blue Valley Sewer District, a public agency created in 1968, operates two wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for environmental excellence.

INVENTORY SPECIALIST

• Reports to and works closely with Maintenance Planner & Scheduler
• Purchases parts, equipment, and services
• Provides technical support to maintenance dept.
• Maintains electronic and physical inventories of parts, materials, supplies & other trackable goods.
• Utilizes computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to research parts requests, obtain pricing, track spare parts usage, inventory, etc
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• Must possess & maintain valid driver's license
• Typical workweek is Mon-Fri, days
• Non-Exempt, Union (Teamsters Local No. 41)

Associate degree or equivalent, or combination of education and experience. Two years work-related experience in purchasing, vendor relations and inventory control.

Experience w/office and communications equipment and software.
