We are innovating value-based care and leveraging integrated applications, population insights and staffing expertise to ensure all patients have access to high-quality, connected care services that provide better outcomes at a reduced total cost of care.Job Description Orders and maintains inventory for the Ambulatory Surgery Center.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include the Following:Conducts inventory counts, orders, and restocks items daily.Maintains inventory levels based on current usage and par levels.Works closely with the Director of Nursing and ASC Supply Chain Management team to ensure adequate levels of supplies are always available on the shelves.Places requisitions for supply orders through Workday.Restocks shelves on a first in, first out basis and ensures product is kept neat, organized, and easily accessible.Proactively checks for product backorders, communicates, and provides updates to the ASC Supply Chain Management team and Director of Nursing.Serves as specific and dedicated Service Line Liaison - works closely with the Operating Room Service Line Leaders for service updates, inventory concerns, and product backorders.Performs and assists in the Quarterly inventory count.Maintains a clean and safe environment for all staff members and patients.Attends mandatory monthly staff meetings and in-services as appropriate.Adheres to all company policies and procedures including dress code, code of conduct, customer service, attendance, and occupational health requirements.Performs all other related duties as assigned.Travel between sites as needed.Core Competencies Teamwork & AdaptabilityAssessment SkillsStrong Communication Skills (both verbal and written)Attention to DetailPlanning & OrganizingSound Problem-Solving, Judgment and Decision-Making SkillsStress TolerancePhysical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment:Must be able to lift, push and pull heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), stand, sit, bend, stoop and walk for extended periods of time to perform the outlined job duties properly and safely.Must have the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and with interruptions while meeting deadlines.Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required.1 to 3 years' experience in a health care setting preferred.Previous Surgical Inventory experience preferred.Basic or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel required.Knowledge of Workday system preferred.The responsibilities and tasks outlined in this job description are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the company.About Our Commitment Total Rewards at VillageMD Our team members are essential to our mission to reshape healthcare through the power of connection.
