Job Description

Terrapin is looking for an Inventory Specialist to join our growing company. As a Clinton County, Penn.-based cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator and processor of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products with plans to open a retail footprint in Pennsylvania. With over 15 years of industry experience, Terrapin was licensed to operate in the Pennsylvania marketplace in 2017, growing to more than 135 employees. Retail expansion plans in Pennsylvania have created a need for an Inventory Specialist.

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for processing and fulfilling orders and assisting with maintaining the smooth flow of medical cannabis from intake to point-of-sale, while maintaining a pristine online menu for optimum patient satisfaction and education.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fulfill incoming orders with high accuracy.
  • Properly use state-mandated point-of-sale software.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory is reflected on online menus by conducting frequent inventory assessments of products in the fulfillment and point-of-sale areas.
  • Immediately report any inventory discrepancies to the General Manager for further action.
  • Assist store management with weekly inventory audits.
  • Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist with and/or receive product deliveries both physically and digitally through the seed-to-sale system and online menu.
  • Maintain compliance with all Company policies, standards, values, and procedures.
  • Participate in staff training and maintain product and industry knowledge.
  • Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
  • Assist management with reports on inventory operations, stock levels and adjustments.
  • Achieve measured daily, weekly and monthly KPIs.
  • Ensure first in, first out (FIFO) is used in all inventory consumption.
  • File documents accurately and timely for the Accounting Department.
  • Evaluate new inventory to ensure it's ready for sale.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be able to pass state-mandated background checks, and successfully complete the Department of Health's 2-hour training course.
  • Data entry experience required.
  • Cannabis experience and knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software.
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including anticipatory thinking and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm composure.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in fast moving, highly regulated deadline-driven environments, while maintaining a high-level attention to detail.
