Position: Cure Inventory Specialist

Reports To: Compliance Cure Supervisor

Job Description: Theraplant's Compliance team is responsible for keeping a full chain of custody of all medical cannabis from seed through sale in accordance with the State of CT's Medical Marijuana Program regulations. Compliance officers are expected to maintain both paper & electronic records documenting every stage in the process of production, including inventories, batch records, product travelers, lab collection reports, quality control records, forms, and labels. Compliance Officers are responsible for entering and compiling data, reconciling batch paperwork and inventories, performing a physical inventory at least once per week, producing reports as required by management & creating compliant labels for each product released for sale.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Cure & Extract operations with daily checking in/out of inventory.
  • Provide support to Cultivation compliance functions as required.
  • Ensure limited access to raw materials inventory.
  • Assist with SOP creation.
  • Assist Theraplant in streamlining, refining, advancing & enforcing compliance SOPs, systems & reports.
  • Collect data from packaging teams for nightly reconciliation.
  • Participate in periodic inventory audits and create supporting documentation.
  • Create & print labels for the finished goods when necessary.
  • Support internal audits.
  • Be familiar with applicable cannabis regulations including, but not limited to the Responsible and Equitable Regulations of Adult-use Cannabis Act, Chapter 420h Regulations of Adult-use Cannabis, Department of Consumer Protections Regulation of Adult Use Cannabis, and other regulations as may be appropriate.
  • Help monitor proper waste tracking and facilitate compliant waste destruction events, following internal SOPs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Assist in testing, escorting, and manifesting testing samples through Flourish and Biotrac, ensuring proper handling, documentation, and compliance throughout the testing process.
  • Maintain and assist in the creation and documentation of manufacturing runs for item creation, ensuring accurate record-keeping, reporting, and operational integrity within the cannabis facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Concentration in math, data or statistics preferred.
  • 2+ Years of experience with excel and some of its more complicated formulas. Computer proficiency.
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, data entry and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift or move items that are at least 15lbs. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs.
