Job Type Full-time Description General Purpose: Sustaining lean processes to ensure that the production line can produce materials in a timely and efficient manner. Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Keeps track of relevant inventories for kahn ban materials and carts
  • Assist in creating Andons to consistently monitor production needs for materials and material movements
  • Develop a sequence road map to ensure every cell on the production line is accommodated, supplied, and able to efficiently process jobs loaded into swip lanes
  • Ensures all raw materials are appropriately labeled with relevant dates
  • Keeps the kahn ban stock inventory updated and monitors visual watermarks
  • Locates raw material and packed products in the warehouse as and when needed by inspecting teams
  • Notifies the supervisor immediately if any material water mark deficit is discovered
  • Maintains the workplace and warehouse in a neat, clean and orderly condition
  • Assists in cycle counting of raw materials
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from within the storage facility
  • Responsible for the loading and unloading of materials within a warehouse or storage facility
  • Develops and maintains a clean, safe working environment for self and co-workers and ensures participation in Goodwill safety programs
  • Reports any incident of theft or unauthorized possession of company property
  • Consistently maintains an acceptable level of productivity
Physical Activities and Safety: 90% standing, 10% walking - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including, wearing safety glasses where required. Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables; exercise judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity and initiative
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Technical skills include the ability to operate material handling equipment, including mechanical equipment
  • Ability to perform some instructing, checking or verifying of the work of others
