About the roleThe Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accurate management and control of the company's inventory. This role ensures that inventory levels are maintained to meet operational demands, minimizes excess stock, and prevents stockouts. The Inventory Supervisor coordinates with various departments, including procurement, operations, and logistics, to streamline inventory processes and support the overall efficiency of the supply chain. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills to effectively supervise inventory staff, manage inventory data, and implement process improvements.
Essential Functions- Collaborate with management, administrative, operations, maintenance, and construction teams to align inventory levels with operational needs.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related inquiries and concerns.
- Use RF unit to scan incoming shipments
- Keep strict batch records and received shipment records
- Rotate stock and track as needed
- Upload Received Shipment forms into ERP system
- Supervise and coordinate activities of a designated unit; determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and determine methods for expediting workflow; assign, review and approve the work of subordinate staff
- Train inventory staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of necessary supplies and parts for continuous mining operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards related to inventory management.
- Implement and maintain safe handling and storage practices for all inventory items.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for inventory staff.
- Establish and maintain minimum stock levels and reorder points for critical items.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ordered items.
- Receive all incoming deliveries and packages and track delivery to departments

Education and Experience - Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management or a related role, preferably in a technical or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and software.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in NetSuite, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
