The Inventory clerk will efficiently and accurately process new and pre-owned vehicle transactions. This position will require close attention to detail, problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to work well in a team setting. DMV knowledge, dealer accounting, Reynolds & Reynolds DMS knowledge, and a willingness to learn more and assist teammates where needed is highly preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Posting daily new car inventory into accounting
- Updating vehicle statuses and filing documentation pertaining to each unit
- Weekly reconciling of new car schedules
- Posting daily new vehicle dealer trades into accounting and distributing payment when necessary
- Weekly reconciling of dealer trade schedules
- Following up with dealers on all aged dealer trade debt and/or status of trade docs
- Posting daily pre-owned vehicle purchases into accounting while auditing paperwork to ensure we are in compliance with state and company policies
- Processing lender payoffs and customer payments when needed
- Following up with lenders for verification of payment receival and update on title status
- Recording, updating status, and filing of all titles brought into the dealerships
- Weekly reconciling of purchase and pre-owned schedules
- Posting daily wholesales into accounting while auditing paperwork to ensure we are in compliance with state and company policies
- Filing CA DMV Wholesale Report of Sale for all wholesale transactions
- Completing and shipping wholesale transfer docs to buyers
- Updating vendors and/or portals on outgoing documents
- Filing of all receipts for payments issued to dealers, verifying that the payments were made in full and no follow up is needed
- Weekly reconciling of wholesale schedules
- Following up with vendors for verification of title and transfer document receival and update on payment status
- Filing all wholesale documents, payments, and files
- Following up with lenders on title status
- Communicating with used car managers and the finance departments to collect correct documentation needed
- Researching traffic/parking violations and mailing necessary documents when needed
- Maintaining an organized and clean workspace
Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or G.E.D
- 1+ year of vehicle inventory/wholesale clerk experience in dealership setting
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment
- Experience using Microsoft office
