You will provide Investigative Financial and Forensic Support to a federal criminal investigative agency for a variety of needs,including the following key areas:
  • Performs a variety of highly technical analysis and procedures dealing with the collection, processing, preservation, analysis, and presentation of computer-related evidence, and is responsible for disseminating and reporting cyber-related activities, conducting vulnerability analysis and risk management of computer systems and recovering information from computers and data storage devices.
  • Candidates will use forensic tools and investigative methods to find specific electronic data, including Internet use history, word processing documents, images and other files.
  • Provides IT system support for other digital forensic examiners and the investigativeteam.
  • Implements and manages all systems, applications, security and network configurations related to carrying out forensic investigations.
  • Significant ingenuity and flexibility is expected.
Qualifications
  • Relevant General Experience: 6+ years
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • 6+ years digital forensics experience related to the collection, processing, preservation, analysis and presentation of computer-related evidence
  • Significant experience using digital forensics tools, such as FTK, X-Ways, EnCase, etc.
  • Certifications related to digital forensics preferred.
  • Secret or Top-Secret security clearance preferred.
Desired Outcomes:
  • Successfully support Investigative and operational activities as described in program.
  • Assist CI in developing, deploying, maintaining a suite of data analytic and forensic tools and data store to further the agency core mission.
  • Provide forensic user support for examiners, onsite or remote through virtual platforms.
  • Provide onsite data center support for forensic systems, including but not limited to uploading forensic images, connecting drives.
  • Deploy and maintain cloud environment used for digital forensic analysis.
  • Respond to cloud and other large seizures by providing rapid system configurations and support.
  • Support customer tickets within 24-36 hours for 2500 persistent virtual machines, 100-300 physical machines connected to a virtual cloud infrastructure, and around 3000 users.
  • Automate system reporting, statistics, user permissions, application streaming.
  • Support daily digital forensic case support.
  • Comply, assist with maintaining, all General Support System (GSS) System Security Plans (SSP) and Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) standards for CI environments.
Location:
  • Primary on-site work location: Martinsburg, WV area.
  • Remote positions also available.
Hours of Work:
  • Core hour are from 8:00AM to 4:40PM EST
Security Clearance and Background Check
  • A security clearance of Secret or higher is required to perform this work. Top-Secret security is highly preferred. Regardless of current security clearance, a High Risk Public Trust background investigation will be conducted on all employees by the government client.

Salary Range
  • $60 - $65/hr. Contingent upon client budget.This position is contingent upon future contract award.
