Job Description:

Analyst - Investment Management

Analysts are responsible for supporting the Investment Management Team in evaluating and monitoring investment opportunities. In this role, you will collaborate across Teams to help inform leadership in investment due diligence, decisions, and monitoring, contributing to the Firm's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new investment opportunities and support the monitoring of existing investments, primarily across the full range of private markets
  • Collaborate on initial due diligence and prepare Investment Memos to be presented to the Investment Committee
  • Assist the Portfolio Management Team in monitoring and tracking existing investments and portfolios, including gathering and analyzing data on existing investments

Success as an Analyst in the Investment Management team will be measured by:

  • High-quality investment diligence and analysis, culminating in the creation of Investment Committee memos
  • Ability to deliver quality work, on time, with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency to work within and across Teams to bring success to all members of the Firm
  • Ability to demonstrate and communicate an understanding of the financial markets and economics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Progress toward the CAIA, CFA or MBA is preferred
  • 2-3 years of investment industry experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational and written communication skills with exacting attention to detail
  • Research experience and financial knowledge, with understanding of accounting and financial valuation
  • Experience in DealCloud and/or Caissa is a strong plus, as well as other data analytics software platforms
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, and specifically Microsoft Excel
  • A solid understanding of underlying macro- and micro-economic forces and trends
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize quantitative modeling techniques
  • Strong communication skills
  • Selfless team player with a strong work ethic

Compensation Structure:

  • Base salary will be commensurate with experience
  • Bonus opportunities will be tied to effectiveness, measured by a periodic goal-setting process, with the amount of opportunity depending on value-added to the organization and firm profitability
