American Heritage Credit Union, a $4.9+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Investment and Retirement Center Sales Assistant. This position will improve the efficiency and productivity of existing Investment Retirement Center (IRC) Financial Advisors. Learn/train on aspects of the Financial Advisor role. Responsibilities Include:
- Schedule all assigned client service meetings with the Member Financial Officers' clients, providing details in advance to clients and the Member Financial Officer regarding the goals and objectives of each meeting. Track details closely and utilize Salesforce and spreadsheet reporting to assure all clients are met with on a consistent basis and at their preferred branch.
- Prepare all required analyses and paperwork for the Member Financial Officers' scheduled meetings. Think in a comprehensive nature about the financial planning process and learn from CUNA Brokerage Services, Inc. (CBSI) training as you develop the skills needed to meet with clients and make recommendations around their comprehensive financial picture. Interact with the Member Financial Officers before and after client meetings to assure that recommendations, client needs, and requests are completed accurately and timely.
- Schedule three to five quality appointments for advisors each month with new prospects derived from the activities of calling on staff referrals, high deposits, maturing CD's, and other Marketing opportunities that arise.
- Support the production of the IRC Registered Representatives by answering member questions, scheduling appointments, describing investment products and services, and executing permissible transactions, as well as performing tasks of a clerical or administrative nature.
- Market the IRC program to members and credit union employees. Organize and conduct monthly trainings and monthly/quarterly referral contests for the staff.
- Provide member with specific product information and research other information pertaining to security transactions that the member wishes to perform or is considering performing through IRC.
- Perform all sales and marketing support functions, such as preparing member proposals and financial plans, utilizing contact management software, maintaining client files to meet regulatory requirements, and managing the IRC client service model to provide ultimate member service.
Requirements Include:
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Must possess the following licenses: Series 6, 63, and Life and Health.
- A two-year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
- Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for serving members and staff while projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.
- Working knowledge of brokerage and insurance products, terms, functions, suitability and compliance aspects.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated and able to perform tasks without supervision.
- Must be available to work evening and Saturday hours as needed.
