Investment and Trust Administrator
Rockland Trust's Investment Management Group is currently seeking a self-motivated individual to provide administrative support for our Relationship Managers. This position offers a challenging work environment and growth potential. This position will assist the IMG Relationship Manager, Portfolio Manager and Financial Consultants with the day to day administrative responsibilities required to provide a high level of customer service to our IMG clients. Under the supervision of the IMG Relationship Manager, this position will also provide research to respond to a client's request and contribute to the overall strategic plan for IMG through ownership and participation in mission.
Primary Duties:
* Monitor daily cash positions for IMG Clients overdrafts and un-invested cash balances; research cause of overdraft/cash accumulation and communicate appropriate action to RM.
* Review regularly scheduled disbursements (bill payments, cash transfers, memo tickers) from IMG client accounts to ensure adequate cash balances; Review monthly IMG fee report and verify account fees; Set up IMG Sales Packages including new account opening paperwork; Input IMG monthly sales/distributions on Sales System.
* Process daily IMG client transaction requests in a timely and accurate manner (using appropriate descriptions and tax codes).
* Open, review and distribute IMG mail; take action when appropriate to complete client requests or produce necessary information for RM review.
* Oversee IMG asset transfers; process and reconcile asset receipt and deliveries and assist with tax cost research.
* Assist in the preparation of the IMG discretionary payment request, special account review and other forms for fiduciary accounts.
* Interact frequently with IMG clients and their advisors (Attorneys, CPAs) by telephone, email and written communication.
* Maintain IMG account files as necessary.
* Assist in the preparation of IMG materials/booklets to be used by RM at client meetings/presentations.
* Assist with asset transfers, asset receipt and deliveries including reconcilement, tax cost research, preparing discretionary payment requests, special account reviews and other forms for fiduciary accounts
* Contribute to the general Branch and IMG department efficiencies through ownership and/or participation in department related projects including reception, telephone coverage, ordering supplies, filing, etc.
* Assumes responsibility for additional reporting duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
* The qualified candidate must be an independent self-starter with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and client service skills.
* Additionally, the candidate must have at least 2 years of administrative support experience, banking/ financial services experience; knowledge of basic investments and trusts a plus.
* We are looking for an individual who is extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
* Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Power Point are a must.
