Job Description:

Blacklock Financial are partnered with a strong, generalist focused Investment bank who are looking to add an associate to their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Execution: Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, including financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, and preparation of transaction materials.
  • Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support transaction analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with senior bankers to manage client relationships, participate in client meetings, and provide strategic advice.
  • Market Research: Conduct industry and market research to identify trends, potential targets, and strategic opportunities for clients.
  • Presentation Preparation: Prepare pitch books, presentations, and other materials to support transaction proposals and client meetings.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across various teams, including industry coverage, product groups, and support functions, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A or related fields.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial analysis. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Work Ethic: High level of initiative, integrity, and professionalism, with a strong commitment to client service and continuous learning.
