Key Responsibilities:

Project Finance:

  • Assist in structuring, modeling, and executing project finance transactions, particularly in the renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors.
  • Develop and analyze financial models to assess the viability and profitability of projects, including sensitivity analysis, cash flow projections, and debt structuring.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence on potential investments, evaluating technical, financial, and regulatory aspects.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):

  • Support end-to-end M&A processes, from identifying potential targets to deal execution and post-transaction integration.
  • Prepare comprehensive pitch books, investment memos, and presentation materials for clients and senior management.
  • Coordinate and manage the flow of information during deal processes, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including developers, utilities, investors, and other stakeholders in the green energy sector.
  • Work closely with senior bankers to identify new business opportunities and pitch innovative financial solutions tailored to clients' needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and engagement letters for potential clients.

Market Research & Strategy:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the sustainable finance and energy sectors.
  • Provide strategic insights to help shape the firm's green investment strategy, identifying emerging opportunities and potential risks.
  • Contribute to thought leadership materials, including white papers, market outlook reports, and industry presentations.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, preferably with a focus on project finance, M&A, or corporate finance in the renewable energy or utilities sectors.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certifications (CFA, CPA) are a plus.

Skills

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with a deep understanding of project finance structures, including non-recourse financing.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to a broad audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with financial databases (Bloomberg, FactSet) is preferred.
