Job Objective

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated investment professional to join Silvercrest's San Diego based Global Value Equity team. The Team is a highly collaborative group that is competitively compensated based on the team's overall performance. We work in a fast-paced culture yet offer the Investment Manager flexibility to hone and develop their own craft to achieve excess returns and contribute to the team's overall success.

Responsibilities:

The Investment Manager (IM) will conduct research as a generalist. The IM will support the team's Value Equity strategies spanning small to large market capitalizations. The IM will research portfolio and relevant benchmark companies through a variety of duties:

* Propose investment opportunities across market caps, countries, and sectors for inclusion into portfolios,

* Understand international accounting practices as well as the political, legal, and economic landscapes of the countries we invest in

* Interact directly with the San Diego investment team,

* Collaborate with the team's other analysts,

* Attain ongoing interaction with sell side analysts, and

* Maintain certain internal dashboards relevant to the portfolios.

In addition, the IM will manage Institutional Consultant and Client relationships. These duties will include:

* Develop relationships with consultants likely to recommend Silvercrest's international and global equity strategies

* Promote greater awareness among the institutional community for Silvercrest's equity strategies

* Contribute to marketing meetings with consultants, advisors, clients, and prospects

* Work directly with the head of institutional sales

Success will be a function of the level of participation to the investment process as well as relationship work with the institutional consultant and client community. The time allocated to each function will be based on the individual's skill set as well as the needs of the firm.

Required Experience and Skills:

* Minimum of 10 years' experience on buy-side or sell-side

* CFA designation or MBA preferred

* Develop a network of relationships

* Passion for Value Equity investing and investment management industry

* Perform fundamental, bottom-up equity research and valuation analysis of individual securities as part of a stock selection process

* Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly

* Self-starter with excellent time management skills who works with a sense of urgency

* Strategic planning skills

* Support and contribute to the team's long-term goals, including collaboration with global colleagues

Candidate should be highly organized and have excellent time management and communication skills. They should be able to learn quickly and multi-task. The candidate should be an independent and detail oriented worker; a self starter, forward thinker and team player. The candidate must have a strong work ethic and be professional and personable in relating to clients and co-workers in a business professional environment.

Salary range: 150K+
