Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition Overview: The Investor Loan Servicing Specialist will play a pivotal role in maintaining the credit union's capital markets/Investor portfolio to optimize financial performance while adhering to regulatory guidelines. This position requires a strong understanding of the credit union's loan portfolio, financial terms, and credit union operations.What You Will Do:
- Process mortgage investor reporting and related file maintenance within the core banking system.
- Maintenance on loans, such as discrepancies in payment amounts or reversals for partial payments.
- Maintain Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA) reporting, including Loan Activity Record (LAR), cash remittance and daily rejects.
- Responsible for the monthly reporting and communication with FNMA servicing contacts to ensure accurate balances.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on FNMA servicing questions and or concerns to other credit union business units.
- Assist with the audit of loan files, including document review and reconciliation
- Provide investors and or broker partners with loan tape files for potential purchase and review.
- Provide Investors with accurate monthly remittance files.
- Submit wire transfer requests to Deposit Ops for monthly remittances.
- Execute internal loan sales within the credit union's core banking system.
- Create custodial accounts in core banking system to facilitate loan pool sales.
- Coordinate with new capital market loan programs to ensure accurate information and documentation.
- Responsible for performing all daily and monthly remittances to secondary market investors, resolving the LAR rejects for each investor and reconciliation of each investor's custodial accounts.
- Organizes and maintains all necessary documentation related to investor remittances, Account/GL reconciliations.
- Scan completed, recorded documents and final title policy to the members' closed file upon receipt.
- Work with marketing and other credit union business units to ensure required items on loan purchases (welcome letters, 404 Mortgage transfer letters) are sent to members as needed.
- Ensure through sample reviews that successful automated memberization process for loan purchases are executed within the credit union's core system.
- Check-in and maintain electronic and physical records of applicable loan purchase files.
- Maintain pledge eligibility flags for loans in DNA as needed.
- Partner with the Loan Funding Manager to ensure that e-vault and pledge-vault process and procedures are being met to ensure pledged loans are accurately maintained in their respective collateral vaults.
RequirementsOur Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the financial or credit union industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage strict deadlines and work independently.
- Thorough understanding of loan products and services, regulatory compliance, and market trends.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel functions for reporting and tracking purposes.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching, stooping, and grasping functions. The position also often requires reaching and lifting (up to 25 pounds). Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motion activities are also required. Must be able to read print and computer-based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy.
