Job Description A highly established Ag Company is seeking a results-driven Irrigation System Monitor to monitor and maintain the center pivot systems at all farms within their company. This company operates in 5 states. This position will be in-office, with travel expected 1-2x per year to each farm. Responsibilities:
- The ability to monitor pivots electronically to troubleshoot problems and notify farm managers of irregularities
- Test circuits in both clusters and pivots as well as locate and replace defective parts.
- Wire/rewire electronic monitors to pivot systems.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, policies, and safety rules.
- Respond to system emergencies during irrigation season.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical skills and electrical skills required
- Demonstrated display of high assertiveness and initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clean driving record
- Meet the physical requirements of the role which includes occasional lifting up to 70 pounds, bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the work period.
- Available to respond to emergencies that may arise with the irrigation system.
- Self-motivated and able to manage time to meet critical deadlines.
