Irrigation Team Leader

The Lead for one of our irrigation teams will directly supervise team members while installing and servicing underground turf and landscape irrigation systems for our residential and commercial customers. You will work alongside and mentor our team members, providing leadership, experience, and skills to deliver quality irrigation systems that our customers have come to expect from Michigan Landscapers LLC. As a team leader, you will be responsible for on-site interaction with the customer, education and safety of our team members and the overall success of each project you are on. Your diligence and commitment to excellence will fast track your pay and position within the company.A Few Duties and Responsibilities:Lead a team of 2-3 team members on a daily basis.Responsible for loading truck daily to be sure all materials needed are on the job site.Complete required documentation of time and materials used on a daily basis.Complete projects within budgeted hours to keep on schedule and within budget.Lead by example and mentor team members to grow and develop their skills.Build and uphold a culture of professionalism by adhering to the company's core values.Keep work vehicle and equipment clean and organized.Properly care for and maintain all equipment assigned to the team.Irrigation installs, maintenance, fall winterization, in-season service calls.Qualifications and Experience:3+ years experience in commercial and residential irrigation system installations.Have completed an advanced irrigation industry training certificate (Preferred with an hourly bonus for certificate holders.)Experience leading, organizing and managing multiple people, your team.Excellent working knowledge of installation equipment used in the industry.Must have the ability to read scaled drawings, along with good math skills.Good understanding of hydraulics to determine proper flow and pipe sizing.Good communication skills. (Bonus hourly pay for Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred, but not required.)Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work and/or job site with qualifying MVR for company auto insurance.
