- Ensures spring turn-on and winterization of irrigation systems.
- Completes various repairs and troubleshooting throughout the year.
- Manages and installs irrigation systems when necessary.
- Ensures a secure and safe environment for site inspections.
- Ensures the required tools and materials are available for projects including necessary inventory.
- Monitors the irrigation system in terms of maintenance programs.
- Coordinates repairs with the Manager based on the needs of Alliance Landscape customers.
- Discuss with supervisor what is to be done the following day.
- Move briskly through uneven ground utilizing application tools.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. from the ground to waist level.
- Bend and twist to ground level.
- Coordinate work activities with those of other departments.
- Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
- Provide workers with assistance in performing duties as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Inventory supplies of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure that sufficient supplies are available and items are in usable and safe working condition.
- Complete daily paperwork: timesheets, work orders, and material tracking.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal communication skills; Bilingual preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Possess a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level of acceptance to the company, including the ability to work overtime, holidays, evenings and weekends as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a licensed Landscape Irrigator or hold a current Irrigation Technician license.
- Minimum 3+ years of irrigation experience, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive driving required.
- Must be capable of working outdoors and visiting job sites on a regular basis.
- The outdoor work will expose you to temperature extremes from over 110 degrees in the summer to below freezing in the winter.
