Day to day:
· Support Windows and Apple based Operating Systems
· Supplement helpdesk services by providing direct support to users, as needed for business applications
· Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate support teams for resolution
· Create and update technical documentation
· Remediate issues identified in monitoring alerts
· Perform failure analysis and determine corrective action plans
· Support on premise virtualization environment
· Provide cloud infrastructure support
· Manage and maintain peripheral equipment (printers, copiers, etc.) in our office locations
· Collaborate with IT Leadership and others to research, analyze and determine standards for hardware, software, and security solutions
· Work with Information Security to monitor and ensure compliance with security policies and practices
· Specify, order, stage and coordinate configuration of employee computing equipment
· Manage IT support vendor relationships and service levels
· Oversee inventory management of software and hardware components
Must haves:
* BS Computer Science or related field or a minimum five years of IT Administrator experience
* Minimum two years IT Administrator experience (plus a related degree)
* Proven experience as a desktop administrator, network administrator or similar role
* Proven experience in setting up, managing and troubleshooting Linux operating systems
* Experience administering networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
* Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
* Microsoft and Apple desktop and Network certifications preferred
Nice to haves:
* Experienced with Fortinet firewalls, switches and/ or wireless access points
