The Business Analyst serves as a link between the IS Department and our business units. They work with project team members and business users to gather information and data on business processes, compiling it into reports that translate business data into digestible information, improving corporate processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Gathers and documents business requirements and performs gap analysis of project documentation.
- Ensures that the business user's needs are clearly understood by the technical team.
- Conducts requirements gathering meetings with various business users.
- Engages with knowledge workers to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing systems.
- Coordinates project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems.
- Designs and validates proposed solutions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; X years of relevant experience in IT or ADR business role; or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
Technical Skills: Knowledge in the following areas: Business Analyst principles and best practices, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various methodologies to support the SDLC, programming principles, relational database, and client-server concepts.
