Kwik Trip, Inc. 's Information Technology Department is seeking a full-time Business Analyst to join our Team of IT based Business Analysts.
Role: - Primary responsibilities will be working with the current IT Business Analyst to support Kwik Trip's Retail Division
- Design and propose appropriate solutions and strategies for new or changing business initiatives.
- Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify/understand needs of customer department functions related to Retail Operations, Retail Training, and Retail Labor
- Acquire input from department leaders to determine necessary changes and enhancements.
- Work with technical staff to design and develop innovative solutions.
- Utilize JIRA, ServiceNow, and Scrum methodologies to help with defining, planning, and prioritization of work.
- Assimilate and translate complex technical information into concise and practical information for utilization by business stakeholders and then communicate those processes back to IT
- Perform technical functions; resolve issues with both technical and business staff, external vendors, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist business and development staff with the creation and maintenance of documentation relating to business processes.
- Study business and information needs to determine if existing processes can be enhanced with new technology or improved processes.
Qualifications : Associate degree or equivalent degree from a two-year college, as well as 1-3+ years' experience as a business or IT systems analyst and/or experience with business process reviews. Candidates should possess the following:
- Experience or Knowledge of Integrations, Master Data, or Transactional Data
- Outstanding organization skills, including ability to handle multiple assignments or projects concurrently.
- Experience with SQL, JavaScript, CSS, API(s)
- Experience with or understanding of standardized database design and administrative tasks (DB2 or SQL Server)
- Experience with standardized reporting tools (MicroStrategy, SSRS, Power BI, Crystal)
- Knowledge of Agile project management methods and JIRA
- Previous experience working with executive management, employing the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software for word processing, spreadsheets, visualizations, and project planning
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership to effectively influence change.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Ability to educate individuals on new systems as well as changing software features and functionalities.
- Ability to develop approaches to solving problems in new business situations and technical environments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department directors, managers, co-workers, and external vendors.
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, interpret co-worker requests, and develop detailed functional design specifications.
