Position Summary: The position of an IT Business Partner is a strategic role that focuses on aligning information technology (IT) with the overall business goals and objectives of an organization. This role acts as a liaison between the IT department and various business units, working closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into IT solutions that drive business value. Responsibilities: 1. The primary responsibility of an IT Business Partner is to develop a deep understanding of the business operations, processes, and challenges within their assigned business area or department. •Leads the communication of the IT Roadmap to stakeholders and ensures alignment across departments. Responsible for ensuring consistency in IT process as well as collaboration between IT groups to support Business operations. •They collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities where IT can enhance efficiency, streamline processes, improve productivity, and deliver innovative solutions. By building strong relationships with stakeholders, the IT Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations on how technology can enable business growth and transformation. 2. In addition to understanding business needs, an IT Business Partner also stays informed about emerging technologies and industry trends. •They assess the potential impact of these technologies on the organization's business model and provide guidance on how to leverage them effectively. •They work closely with the IT department to prioritize projects, allocate resources, and ensure that IT initiatives align with the overall strategic direction of the organization. 3. Another critical aspect of the IT Business Partner role is managing expectations and communication between the IT department and business stakeholders. •They bridge the gap between technical jargon and business requirements, translating complex IT concepts into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders. They facilitate productive discussions, gather feedback, and manage stakeholders' expectations throughout the project lifecycle. 4. Overall, the IT Business Partner plays a vital role in driving the digital transformation and innovation agenda of an organization. By forging strong partnerships between IT and business units, they enable effective decision-making, foster collaboration, and ensure that technology investments deliver tangible business outcomes. 5. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Requirements: Minimum Education: Possessing a Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience Preferred Education: Master's Degree in relevant field Minimum Experience:
  • Solid foundation in both IT and Business Domain which includes IT Project Management, Business Analysis, IT Consulting, or similar roles that involves a comprehensive understanding of technology and its application in a business context.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, operations, and challenges.
  • Experience working closely with Stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating them into IT solutions.
  • A solid understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and emerging technologies is crucial. Knowledge of industry best practices, IT frameworks, and methodologies can also be beneficial.
  • Experience in managing IT projects and initiatives from initiation to completion is valuable. This includes skills in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders is critical.
  • Experience in collaborating with diverse teams, managing expectations, and facilitating effective communication is highly desirable.
  • Experience in aligning IT strategies with overall business goals and objectives is important. This includes the ability to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements, innovation, and digital transformation.
Preferred Experience:
  • Exposure to Project Management Applications such as MS Project & SmartSheets
  • Retail Industry Systems Experience
  • Software Implementation Experience

Other Requirements:Travel: No travel required Hours & Conditions: Typically Monday - Friday, 8+ hour days in office setting. Physical Requirements: Minimal physical effort required; sitting / standing at computer for long periods of time. Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 lbs.
